On Sunday, Oct 16, 2022, 1pm-3pm, 6 Free the Fern volunteers gathered to tackle invasive regrowth in areas that we will be planting as part of our Grow Wild! event, Oct 22, 2022. Volunteers worked adjacent to 4 stewardship areas: Matheson Heights Co-op, Cartier Place, Fir Trail, and “The Triangle”. Together, we removed 2 240L green bins worth of invasive Himalayan blackberry & English ivy. We succeded in clearing all new invasive regrowth from the planting areas!
