Free the Fern received some exciting news today – we have been approved for a $2000 TD Park People Grant! We will be receiving the funds by the end of April. We plan to use them to purchase 5 sets of tools (shovels, rakes, trowel, bypass pruner, and gloves) that can be used in the future for group invasive removal projects and plantings. In addition, we will be using a portion of the grant to fund native planting along the Champlain Heights Trail for this fall! It will allow us to work towards making a Native Plant Teaching Garden behind Kinross Creek Co-op. We are so excited and feel so grateful for this funding!
