The Vancouver City Engineering Department has marked dead trees that are a hazard along the Champlain Heights Trail and have begun the process of removing them, with the help of Davey’s Tree co. The process began on June 29, 2021 and is scheduled to continue through the summer and into September.
This removal effort will make the trails safer for children, seniors, dog walkers and others who use the trails on a daily basis. It will also support the work of Free the Fern, by making it safer to carry out our invasive removal efforts once the hazard trees are removed.
