Free the Fern is organizing our major fall Community Planting Event for Sunday, October 24 from 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. We are needing the following volunteers to help with the event:
- 6 volunteer leaders – each will be responsible for a plot of the garden where public planting volunteers will be planting. Supervise and support planting. Great for someone with some planting or gardening experience
- 10 + volunteer planters – great for people of all ages and those with limited planting experience.
- 2 info table volunteers – help supervise our info table where volunteers will sign in and borrow tools
- 1 photographer – help with capturing a “before” photo of the garden, some of our planters in action, and the final, “after”, look of our native plant teaching garden.
- 2 set up volunteers – help place the plants into their proper position in the garden plots in preparation for planting (following a provided planting map) help move garden tools onto site, set up info table etc.
