Today, on February 21, 2026, we welcomed the Adhoc Plots Collective to lead an Adhoc Weaving Workshop with us.
The Adhoc Plots Collective is comprised of artists Erin Sauha Lee, Pippa Lattey , and Jenn Pearson. Adhoc plots collective celebrates innovative, haphazard and playful gardening responses to the challenging economic and material conditions of our time through local community projects and social media. They collaborate together on provisional projects and assemblages using gleaned, ephemeral and salvaged materials.
To prepare for their Adhoc Weaving workshop, Erin Sauha and Pippa had gathered some ivy at our February public Invasive Pull. They brought this ivy along with other plants and found materials (yarn, ribbon, string etc) to the Kinross Creek Co-op for our workshop.
The Adhoc Plots Collective began by introducing simple weaving techniques, with found and natural materials. Together, 12 participants made playful weaving experiments, such as charms or small hanging ornaments and explored the materials at hand. Everyone came away with a very unique creation!
We are so grateful to Adhoc Plots for sharing their materials and their creativity with us! Thank you to all our lovely participants: Alexis, Allison, Catherine, Eliana, Evee, Faye, Genevieve, Grace, Hollis, Jeannine, Jo, Labhras, and Sandra

That was an excellent workshop; I learned new weaving techniques and the conversations were wonderful! Thank You!
