Today, March 21, 2026, 3 of our board directors represented Free the Fern at the East Vancouver Seedy Saturday.
The event was held a the Britannia Community Centre and featured many tables of local community groups and individuals giving away seeds to the community.
The day before, we had prepped many packets of seeds, including Goldenrod, Douglas aster, and smooth aster, which had been collected in the Pollinator Garden along the Champlain Heights Trails.
We also received a number of seed packets from Starseed Collective to share.
In total, our Free the Fern team gave out 147 seed packets at the 3.5 hour event!
It was wonderful to meet so many friends of Free the Fern and make some more!
