On April 23, 2022, Free the Fern was happy to have a table at Earth Fest at Everett Crowley Park. 11 Free the Fern volunteers were on hand to help share about our stewardship work. We had examples of ivy baskets (woven by Joe), sample of garbage artifacts (found on Red Alder trail), photos of our stewardship efforts, examples of native & invasive plants, and paintings in our Art for Plant Fundraiser.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers, Erin, Liam, Camren, Joe, Grace, Robin, Paola, Ann, Kiki, Jeannine, for helping with set-up, at the event, and clean-up. A special thank you to Erin and her son, Camren, for coming to the event dressed in handmade Mother Earth and Links costumes. The event was a great success! We had many interested local citizens come by to learn and sign up as future volunteers!
